Following major projects in Hamburg, Bremen, North Rhine-Westphalia and Bavaria, the largest window recycling project in Hesse has now been realised. As part of a three-year modernisation of the "Platensiedlung" residential area in the Frankfurt district of Ginnheim, the building owner had more than 3,100 old PVC windows replaced with new, energy-saving plastic windows. The old window elements were recycled 1:1.
After completion of the recycling process, they were turned into technically equivalent PVC profiles with recycled cores, which are now being used again in other places in Germany.
