Reiling supports Rewindo system with six collection points

The Reiling Group is now supporting Rewindo GmbH with the collection and bundling of smaller quantities of old PVC windows, roller shutters and doors for recycling at six locations. In addition to the nationwide collection system, Rewindo is currently setting up a network of collection points where you can also hand in a quantity of less than ten windows. This service is primarily aimed at installation teams and smaller tradesmen who are unable to store removed windows temporarily. The Reiling Group, which specialises in the disposal of flat glass, is an ideal partner for Rewindo Managing Director Michael Vetter: "There are of course synergies here for larger projects. We are all the more pleased that we were able to win over such a renowned company for the collection of smaller quantities."

The Reiling locations in Münster, Marienfeld, Gladbeck, Torgau, Sülzetal and Lauenburg now complement a network of currently 15 collection points where small and large quantities can be handed in. Rewindo's aim is to expand this network and gradually establish local locations throughout Germany. "Smaller quantities will become increasingly important for the continuous increase in our recycling volumes as we penetrate the market. Local waste disposal companies, whether large or small, can provide us with good support. Of course, it is important that the quantities collected at the local collection points are ultimately guaranteed to reach one of our audited recycling partners, where they are processed into secondary raw material for window profile production," says Vetter.

Since 2002, Rewindo Fenster-Recycling-Service GmbH and its recycling partners have been organising the recycling of disused PVC windows, roller shutters and doors throughout Germany, with continuously increasing recycling rates. In 2016, more than 29,000 tonnes of PVC regranulate were recovered. This corresponds to almost 1.8 million recycled old windows. In addition, over 74,000 tonnes of production waste were recovered. The recycled regranulate serves as a raw material of equal quality for the production of new window and building profiles.

Disposers who are interested in collecting small quantities of removed plastic windows, roller shutters and doors for the Rewindo system are welcome to contact the office.
