With great success, the PVC recycling action participated in the 26th Demolition Conference in Berlin at the end of February. More than 1,100 demolition and recycling specialists from all over Europe took advantage of the event to exchange information on current topics from the industry. For example, the participants of the demolition conference were able to find out about nationwide recycling solutions for floor coverings, roofing membranes, windows, doors, roller shutters, tarpaulins and pipes made of PVC at the joint stand of Aktion PVC-Recycling.
Besides Michael Vetter, recycling expert of the AGPU and managing director of Rewindo, managing director Dr. Jochen Zimmermann and other employees of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft PVC-Bodenbelag Recycling (AgPR) were on site as experts.
As in previous years, this year's event was again able to increase the number of participants in comparison to the previous year, both in terms of trade visitors (from around 1,000 to over 1,100) and exhibitors (from 116 to 127). Interest in the recycling solutions for PVC as a building material is also growing steadily: "The annual conference organised by the German Demolition Association offers us an excellent opportunity to talk to many companies and present our offers to them," says Rewindo Managing Director Michael Vetter. "The interest in our recycling solutions increases from year to year," adds Dr Jochen Zimmermann, Managing Director of AgPR.
The initiative Aktion PVC-Recycling, in which AgPR, AGPU, IVK Europe, KRV, Rewindo, Roofcollect as well as VinylPlus® participate as partners, informs about the recycling possibilities of PVC.
