"Since its foundation, Rewindo has been able to increase the annual recycling volume from old windows sevenfold to around 35,000 tonnes to date," said Michael Vetter, Managing Director of Rewindo GmbH, when presenting the new recycling figures for 2019. According to these figures, the collected volume (including metal, glass residues, etc.) of old windows, shutters and doors was 47,169 tonnes last year. The recycled quantity was 35,561 tonnes (pure PVC recyclate). For the Rewindo system, this results in a recycling rate of 84.6 per cent (based on the collectable available quantity of 42,040 tonnes).
