The established series of events "PVC recyclers meet PVC processors" started a new round at the end of June at the flooring manufacturer Tarkett in Lentzweiler/Luxembourg. VinylPlus®, AGPU, AgPR, Rewindo, IVK Europe and Roofcollect® again jointly invited numerous PVC recyclers and PVC processors to meet on three dates in different regions to discuss the respective recycling offers and the requirements for recycled materials.
One conclusion of the first expert meeting: The importance of recycling continues to grow for all stakeholders. The acceptance in companies and among consumers to use new products with recycled material must be further increased. About 75 percent of the annual PVC production in Germany is used for sustainable PVC building products. The industry is already particularly well positioned when it comes to recycling these products, and the activities of the AGPU and the European sustainability programme VinylPlus also contribute significantly to this.
