According to the strategy, all plastic packaging on the EU market should be recyclable by 2030, and the consumption of single-use plastics should be reduced and the use of microplastics limited.<\/p>\n<p>Numerous industry associations have already reacted positively and see the plans now presented as being in line with their own voluntary commitments. In statements, they welcome the plans for the EU recycling strategy, as it primarily offers opportunities for the industry.
