TEPPFA publishes LCI for recycled PVC materials in pipe production

At the end of July 2025, the European Association of Plastic Pipe and Fittings Manufacturers (TEPPFA) published comprehensive Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) data sets for two main types of recycled PVC materials (r-PVC) specifically for fine regrind and flakes. Both are frequently used in the production of PVC pipes. These data sets have undergone external peer review and are fully compliant with the ISO 14040/14044 standards for life cycle assessment (LCA).

TEPPFA has thus responded to a request from the PVC pipe sector, using representative data for the European market for both finely ground r-PVC (500-650 µm) and r-PVC flakes.

The project was launched in April 2024 with the participation of four PVC pipe recyclers from across Europe. The resulting LCI datasets reflect an average profile of r-PVC production in the European context.
